Our Annual Respect Life Prayer Breakfast will be held on Saturday, January 27th, 2018. It begins at 9:00 AM and will be held at Fiorelli Catering, 1501 Main Street, Peckville, PA.
Our speaker will be Ryan Bomberger, co-founder of the Radiance Foundation, which addresses a myriad of social issues, especially abortion, in the context of God-given purpose. Ryan Bomberger was conceived in rape but offered up for adoption, and is now one of the figures on the forefront of the fight for a culture of life. He is involved in national efforts to expose and defund Planned Parenthood by illuminating their multiple violations of human rights.
Cost is $21 for adults, $10 for children ages 6-12, and children 5 and under are free. To make a reservation, call Theresa at (570) 687-5329.
Saturday, September 9th, was the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children in 2017. In the chilly, overcast morning, over 65 people gathered in the Prayer Garden of St. Lucy’s Church to commemorate the millions of victims abortion has claimed.
The service consisted of hymns, bible readings, and short talks from representatives of various groups and churches. All in attendance placed roses before the beautiful memorial to the unborn installed in the garden, which was then blessed by Deacon Carmen Mendicino.
The National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children offers an opportunity to reflect on the humanity of children lost to abortion, as well as a chance to think about the mothers who are also harmed immeasurably by its evil. It is important to think about how every single aborted child is a living human person. While this may seem discouraging, it also gives one the strength to truly fight for a culture of life in which this brutal killing is a thing of the past. By reflecting on the importance and humanity of every unborn child, the importance of the issue becomes all the more clear.
The Pennsylvania State Senate has resumed session and multiple pro-life issues have already been brought before it. In 2018, elections will be held for the House and Senate of the United States. It is of upmost importance that we elect pro-life representatives, not only to protect the children of future generations, but also in honor of those who have already been tragically lost.
Please continue to fight for the unborn in memory of the children who have had the most important right of all taken away.
